"Informative and fun and your enthusiasm made me want to learn all that you had to teach! Thank you again for keeping your cost so low for BHS. As a certified childbirth educator through another organization I can say with all honesty your class was absolutely wonderful!."
Sheila Perry RN, CCE

"I enjoyed the class a great deal (others did as well). Best of luck to your further classes."

"We really found it helpful that Peggy went into great detail about what to expect and everything that would be happening during the labor process.”

Peggy Neal photoMargaret (Peggy) Neal is a Registered Nurse and International Childbirth Education Association (ICEA) Certified Childbirth Educator and Certified Trainer.  She has taught childbirth, breastfeeding, baby care and car seat safety to prospective parents in hospital settings in the San Antonio area for the last ten years.  She has also been a guest speaker in local high schools and colleges. Peggy believes in the transformative power of birth and heartily embraces the philosophy of ICEA; freedom of choice based on knowledge of the alternatives.

Peggy’s most recent accomplishment is to have been certified as an ICEA Approved Trainer. She teaches a 16-hour workshop designed to educate those who are interested in becoming childbirth educators.  This evidence-based program is also a wonderful refresher for labor and delivery and postpartum nurses, lactation consultants and nurse managers who wish to improve their skills in supporting women and families through the process of birth and postpartum.

In addition to supporting families during the childbearing process, Peggy is also a founding board member of Kinetic Kids, a nonprofit organization serving the children of San Antonio who struggle with lifelong disabilities.  Kinetic Kids provides educational, recreational and sports-related activities to children who might otherwise be excluded. Peggy and her husband, Rick, are the parents of three grown children; Cheryl, Ricky and Diana. When she is not spending time with family, volunteering with Kinetic Kids or teaching, Peggy can be found in a Bikram Yoga Studio.
